The baker & the builder

David and Lynn left California for Tennessee in 2022 and fully embraced the pace and traditions of Southern living.

Lynn dreamed of homesteading, so David built her a chicken coop fit for 15 queens. Then, as she learned the secrets of baking with an ancient sourdough starter from San Francisco, David became her biggest fan, encourager and consumer!

Together they love Jesus, each other, ‘Merica, and to bless the good people of Chattanooga with the best bread and eggs you’ll find in the South.

meet Bountiful

Every baker names their starter - usually something feminine. My early bread was so unpredictable that I named her “Sybil” (IYKYK). But in our home, we believe words have power and we decree the promises and blessings of God over every aspect of our lives. Including our baking endeavors.

So, I changed her name.

To Bountiful.

And she is.
